One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Edmonton. It’s a staple. Been successful for a long time. The food is delicious, comes out fast and hid well priced. Definitely recommend.

Have been coming here for over 20 years, and although the decor has changed, it is still the same amazing quality food every time. I have tried so many different items on their extensive menu and have never had one bite that wasn't delicious. Thanh Thanh is just too good!

One of Edmonton’s best-kept secrets for Chinese-style comfort food — fast, flavourful, and always amazing! While it’s listed as a Vietnamese restaurant, we come here for the Chinese-style dishes — and they never disappoint. Ginger beef, cashew chicken, battered shrimp, and Shanghai noodles are among our favourites. A single dish is more than enough for someone with a good appetite and still leaves leftovers, making it a great spot to go with a few people, order your favourites, and share. The flavours are spot on — rich, bold, and exactly what you’d hope for. One thing that always stands out is the speed and quality. When it’s quiet, the food comes out lightning fast. But even when the dining room is packed, which it often is (a good sign), the layout is spacious and the wait is surprisingly short — a testament to how dialed-in their kitchen and staff are. If you’re looking for a quieter, more intimate experience, I’d recommend going during the week. And if you’d rather stay in, their takeout is just as solid — fast, reliable, and packed in high-quality containers that actually hold up in the car and for heating up leftovers. Thanh Thanh is a rare kind of spot: consistent, reliable, and deeply satisfying. It’s our top choice for Chinese food and one of our favourite places to eat in Edmonton. The Hubby and I frequently eat in at Thanh Thanhs. The restaurant is always busy, because the food is exceptional. We order the beef in black bean sauce, substituted with onions, instead of the green peppers, due to allergies. sweet and sour chicken( best in the city by far), spring rolls, which are scrumptious . The sticky rice is always perfect. Next time we go, I will take photos, we always forget, as we are too busy eating.

Have been going to this family owned noodle restaurant for over 30 yrs. They still serve the best pho in Western Canada. Our favorite items on the menu are Pho Beef Satay and Shrimp Satay soups. The base is pretty spicy with lots of noodles and peanuts. The beef is always well done but very tender. Service is quick and staff are always friendly. Serving portions have remained the same at a very reasonable price.

My family has been coming to Thanh Thanh Oriental Noodle House since before I was even born! This lovely family-owned business has always served the best and freshest dishes, especially their spicy beef satay soup—nothing compares. Over the years, we’ve all become one big family, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere keeps us coming back. A true gem in the city! Definitely get your pho from here!!

Despite the minor issue of a casual greeting at the entrance and occasional difficulty in getting the waiters' attention, likely due to their busy schedule, it did not significantly impact the overall positive dining experience. The restaurant's commitment to delivering tasty dishes quickly outweighs these minor inconveniences, making it a recommended choice for a satisfying meal.

When one of my best friends mentioned he goes to Thanh - Thanh Oriental Noodle House once a week for lunch I knew I had to try it out. I love the fact that it was opened in 1986 by a husband and wife who specialize in traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Don’t let the neighborhood scare you away because this restaurant is one of the best in Edmonton and the staff go the extra mile. You can’t go wrong with the vermicelli, combo meals, wonton soup and don’t skip out on an extra order of the imperial rolls.
